Here’s how you can help victims impacted by the recent earthquakes in Afghanistan’s Herat province.
Not even a month after the Marrakesh–Safi earthquake hit Morocco, killing nearly 3,000 people and injuring 5,600 more, the Herat province of Western Afghanistan was hit by three powerful earthquakes. The earthquake came at a time when the country has suffered from one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises due to political instability, economic crisis, and natural disaster. Nearly 1,500 people have perished so far — almost 90% of which are children and women. As winter approaches, it is now a race-against-the-clock to deliver critical assistance to the over 28 million people in need.
