People in Gaza urgently need treatment and medical attention, but the local health system is in ruins.
Over the past year, tens of thousands have been injured, with many in critical condition requiring extensive treatment and complex operations. Additionally, there is an ongoing need for humanitarian aid, food, and water in the area. Médecins Sans Frontières is committed to addressing these needs, but they need your support.
Aid for Médecins Sans Frontières in the Gaza Strip
The people of Palestine had already endured a chronic humanitarian crisis and constant pressure before the conflict escalated. Their villages frequently faced curfews, soldiers trained near their homes, confiscated their cars and destroyed their houses. Médecins Sans Frontières provided medical and psychological support to those affected, treating 6,567 individuals in Gaza for burns and injuries in 2022 alone.
Not only did Médecins Sans Frontières continue their efforts after the events of October last year, but their teams worked tirelessly despite increasingly dire conditions. Hospitals face severe shortages of fuel and electricity, rendering vital support devices inoperable, and basic medicines are unavailable. Médecins Sans Frontières staff have been pushed to the brink, risking their lives, and tragically, some have lost theirs in the process.
No gift is ever wasted. Help is urgently needed and will remain essential in the coming months and years. If you care about the plight of the people of Palestine, donate through VAKOVAKO and 100% of the donation value goes to Médecins Sans Frontières.
